This weekend on streaming, we see the return of some of our favorite anti-heroes (cue the Taylor Swift). On Paramount Plus, Michael C. Hall returns as the titular vigilante serial killer in Dexter: Resurrection -- turns out, he wasn't dead after all. And on Hulu, some of the worst-behaved people on TV are back when the gang from It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia returns for the show's 17th season. 

On Netflix, you can tune in to tons of great movies: This week marks the arrival of originals like the German thriller Brick and Tyler Perry's Madea's Destination Wedding, plus the modern cult classic Mad Max: Fury Road.

Mad Max: Fury Road (July 9)

Charlize Theron has become one of the most reliable action stars around, and her turn as Furiosa in Mad Max: Fury Road helped her earn that reputation. The 2015 film from writer-director George Miller is set in a post-apocalyptic desert and is essentially a non-stop battle sequence where hero Max Rockatansky (Tom Hardy) teams up with Theron's Imperator Furiosa to wage a battle against warlord Immortan Joe (Hugh Keays-Byrne) and his army. Nicholas Hoult, Rosie Huntington-Whitely and Zoe Kravitz also star. Fury Road just arrived to Netflix this week.

In the new German thriller Brick, Tim and Olivia (Matthias Schweighöfer and Ruby O. Fee) wake up one day to discover they're trapped in their apartment by an impenetrable brick wall that has shown up out of nowhere. It's a problem affecting their entire building, so they have to work together with their neighbors to find a way out of the mysterious fortress and figure out why it's there in the first place. Brick arrived on Netflix on July 10.

Tyler Perry's Madea's Destination Wedding (July 11)

Tyler Perry's Madea's Destination Wedding is the 13th Madea film and the second to be produced for and distributed directly on Netflix. In the film, Perry returns as the outspoken Madea (as well as playing her nephew, Brian), as their family travels to the Bahamas for an unexpected, last-minute wedding. The film drops this Friday, July 11.

Foundation, Season 3 (July 11)

Based on the novels by Isaac Asimov, Foundation returns for its third season this week on Apple TV Plus. The show, about a group of people attempting to rebuild civilization after the fall of the Galactic Empire, co-stars Jared Harris, Lee Pace and Lou Llobell; the first episode of season 3 arrives on Friday, July 11, with new episodes dropping every Friday through September 12.

It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, Season 17 (July 9)

For two whole decades, the gang from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia has caused chaos in and around Paddy's Pub, and they're back for season 17 this week. The series, originally developed by Rob McElhenney and Glenn Howerton, began all the way back in 2005, and the entire cast, including McElhenney, Howerton, Kaitlin Olson, Charlie Day and Danny DeVito, has returned to the show with two new episodes that dropped on Hulu July 9.

If you're looking for a great new binge, the entire first season of Prime Video's new series Ballard dropped this week. The show follows Detective Renée Ballard (Maggie Q) as she leads the LAPD's new cold case division, hoping to solve some of the city's long-forgotten crimes. With some help from retired detective Harry Bosch (Titus Welliver), Ballard navigates her department's corruption, dangerous threats and personal trauma in this continuation of the Bosch universe.

Dexter: Resurrection (July 11)

Just when you thought Dexter Morgan was dead for good, he's revived for Dexter: Resurrection. The new Paramount Plus series, which arrives July 11, stars Michael C. Hall as the titular serial killer who is indeed back from the dead -- because he never actually died. A continuation of Dexter: New Blood, the new series finds Morgan in New York City as he searches for the son who tried to kill him, so he can make amends and set things right.

Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires (July 11)

Zombies Addison (Meg Donnelly) and Zed (Milo Manheim) are back for the latest film in the Disney musical franchise. Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires sees Addison and Zed on a road trip where they discover warring factions of monsters, the Daywalkers and Vampires, and find themselves in the middle of their conflict. The film debuted on the Disney Channel on July 10  and streams on Disney Plus on July 11.
