Nottingham Forest plays host to Malmö FF on Thursday in a UEFA Europa League match that's sure to evoke memories of the home side's past glories in Europe.

A Brian Clough-led Forest famously beat Malmö in Munich to lift the European Cup in 1979, thanks to a Trevor Francis strike in the final. The signs are looking good for another triumph over the Swedes today for the Tricky Trees.

Sean Dyche's men come into this game lifted by a huge win away at Liverpool at the weekend, with that result lifting them out of the English Premier League's relegation zone.

They face a Malmö team able to focus on this tournament after the recent completion of the Swedish Allsvenskan season, which saw them finish in a disappointing 6th position. With three defeats and just a single draw so far in this term's Europa League, Anes Mravac's men are in big need of a win as they look to keep alive their hopes of reaching the tournament's playoffs.

Nottingham Forest takes on Malmö FF at the City Ground in Nottingham on Thursday, Nov. 25. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. GMT local time in the UK, making it a 9 p.m. CET start in Europe, a 3 p.m. ET or 12 p.m. PT kickoff in the US, and a 7 a.m. AEDT start in Australia on Friday.

How to watch every UEFA Europa League 2025-26 game online from anywhere using a VPN

If you're traveling abroad and want to keep up with games while away from home, a VPN can help enhance your privacy and security when streaming. It encrypts your traffic and prevents your internet service provider from throttling your speeds. Additionally, it can be helpful when connecting to public Wi-Fi networks while traveling, providing an extra layer of protection for your devices and logins.

VPNs are legal in many countries, including the US and Canada, and can be used for legitimate purposes such as improving online privacy and security. However, some streaming services may have policies restricting VPN use to access region-specific content. If you're considering a VPN for streaming, check the platform's terms of service to ensure compliance.

If you choose to use a VPN, follow the provider's installation instructions to ensure you're connected securely and in compliance with applicable laws and service agreements. Some streaming platforms may block access when a VPN is detected, so verifying if your streaming subscription allows VPN use is crucial. Services like our Editors' Choice pick, ExpressVPN, make it really easy to do this.
