After a chastening defeat in the first encounter of this Ashes series in Perth, England will need to break their terrible streak at The Gabba in Brisbane as they look to hit back against Australia in the 2nd Test.
The omens for England coming into the action in Queensland aren't great. Only once this century has a team recovered to win a men's Ashes series after losing the opening Test, while the visitors have failed to beat the Aussies at The Gabba in their last 10 Test matches at the iconic ground.
What might be most concerning for captain Ben Stokes and his team is how they lost in Perth last month, where the home side wrapped things up in just two days with an eight-wicket mauling. With the hosts set to strengthen further with the return from injury of skipper Pat Cummins, a massive improvement is needed from the visiting side if they're to level the series here.
The 2nd Ashes Test between Australia and England takes place between Thursday, Dec. 4, and Monday, Dec. 8, at The Gabba in Brisbane. The first ball is set to be played at 2 p.m. AEST local time, making it a 4 a.m. GMT start in the UK and a 9:30 a.m. IST start in India. For cricket fans in the US and Canada, the 2nd Test gets underway at 11 p.m. ET or 8 p.m. PT on Wednesday evening, Dec. 3.

If you're traveling abroad and want to keep up with all the cricket action while away from home, a VPN can help enhance your privacy and security when streaming.
It encrypts your traffic and prevents your internet service provider from throttling your speeds. A VPN can also be helpful when connecting to public Wi-Fi networks while traveling, adding an extra layer of protection for your devices and logins. VPNs are legal in many countries, including the US and Canada, and can be used for legitimate purposes such as improving online privacy and security.
However, some streaming services may have policies restricting VPN use to access region-specific content. If you're considering a VPN for streaming, check the platform's terms of service to ensure compliance.
If you choose to use a VPN, follow the provider's installation instructions, ensuring you're connected securely and in compliance with applicable laws and service agreements. Some streaming platforms may block access when a VPN is detected, so verifying if your streaming subscription allows VPN use is crucial.
