During the long-awaited annual September iPhone event on Wednesday, Apple spent some time detailing the latest upgrades to Siri AI. Among those was that it “already works seamlessly with over 300,000 apps,” and one of the apps mentioned was Stuff.
“You can let Siri see what you see, and combine it with up-to-date broad-world knowledge to answer your questions. Add the rest of the ingredients I’ll need to my grocery list, and Siri can take action in the apps you already use, including third-party apps like Stuff,” Apple said during the event where the foldable iPhone Duo and iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max were unveiled.
Stuff is a third-party app for iPhone, iPad and Mac that helps you organize your notes into to-do lists, tasks, deadlines and plans. There’s also a Listen Mode that works with Siri AI to create tasks from your voice commands.
“Stuff will recognize tasks and dates from your speech and present them as a list. You can review and edit the tasks before saving them,” the Stuff website says.
You can additionally scan handwritten notes into Stuff using your iPhone camera. The app has handwriting recognition and will create tasks for you, whether you’ve written them out in bullet points or paragraph form. It’ll also pick up on any notes you write with the words “today” and “next week” and create dated tasks with deadlines for you.
Stuff allows you to invite up to 25 people to your lists (five people if you have the free version of the app), so you can use it for things like planning grocery lists, birthday presents, events and vacations. Editing is in real-time, so you and anyone else you invite can make changes simultaneously.
The app is free, but if you want to invite more people or access Listen Mode and Scan Mode, it costs $3 per month or $30 per year.
In addition to Stuff, other third-party apps mentioned by Apple that are compatible with Siri AI include Audible, WhatsApp, Outlook, Notability and Tripsy.
During the event on Wednesday, Apple also unveiled the Apple Watch Series 12, Apple Watch Ultra 4 and the AirPods 5, all of which have compatibility with Siri AI.
