We all know that Disney Plus is the hub for Disney content, new and old, along with Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar and National Geographic. While it's comforting to revisit those classics, the platform also releases plenty of new shows and movies each month, including original series, Disney Jr. titles, Nat Geo documentaries and older library content such as sitcoms, reality shows and films. You can even find live sports on the streamer. (The Walt Disney Company does own ESPN, after all. Gotta respect the corporate synergy.)
This May on Disney Plus, you can catch the season finale of Daredevil: Born Again, and one week later, tune in to The Punisher: One Last Kill. That Marvel special starring Jon Bernthal is a one-off event.
You can also catch new Bluey minisodes, the season finale of Star Wars: Maul -- Shadow Lord (airing on May the 4th) and livestreams of several Banana Ball games this month, too!

The Punisher: One Last Kill
The Punisher: One Last Kill is a Marvel special airing on May 12 at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT. It stars Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/The Punisher, the role he first originated in the first Daredevil TV series. Fans will also get to see Frank's friend, Curtis Hoyle (played by Jason R. Moore), appear in One Last Kill. Next, you can look out for The Punisher and his violent ways in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
Stanley Tucci is having a big May. The actir appears in the highly anticipated sequel The Devil Wears Prada 2, and the second season of his award-winning travel series Tucci in Italy is premiering, too. The National Geographic series will premiere on that channel on Monday, May 11, and will stream the next day on Disney Plus and Hulu. The show, which sees Tucci exploring the food and culture of many of the regions of the country, will focus this season on many of the coastal areas and islands, like Sicily and Sardinia.

With the announcement that a Bluey movie is in production (and premiering on Aug. 6, 2027!), actual episodes of the beloved TV series have been put on hold as a result. Luckily, the folks at Bluey's production company, Ludo Studios, are giving us a small dose of the Heeler family by dropping a new batch Bluey minisodes this month. A collection of 10 shorts lasting 1 to 3 minutes will arrive on Disney Plus on May 20, which should hold us over until the movie.

Sofia the First: Royal Magic
The popular animated children's show Sofia the First ran from 2013 to 2018, and now it's getting a reboot with Sofia the First: Royal Magic. The new series, premiering May 25, sees Princess Sofia attending the Charmswell School for Royal Magic, where she discovers she is the most magical princess in the realm and needs to learn how to master her powers. Most of the original show's voice actors are returning for the reboot, including Ariel Winter as Sofia, as well as Wayne Brady, Tim Gunn, Eric Stonestreet and Sara Ramirez.

This May, Disney Plus continues to be a streaming partner of the Banana Ball league, and you can catch several Banana Ball games this month.
